چکیده
We consider a coupled reaction–advection–diffusion system based on the Fisher-KPP and Burgers equations. These equations serve as one-dimensional version of model for reacting fluid in which arising density differences induce buoyancy force advecting fluid. study front propagation this through lens traveling waves solutions. are able to show two quite different behaviors depending whether coupling constant $$\rho $$ is large or small. First, it proved that there threshold _0$$ under advection has no effect speed (although nonzero). Second, when large, wave speeds must be at least $$\mathcal {O}(\rho ^{1/3})$$ . results together give transition from pulled pushed increases. Because complex dynamics involved similar models, one first precise literature solution. use mix ordinary partial differential equation methods our analytical treatment, we supplement with numerical treatment featuring newly created understand behavior speeds. Finally, various conjectures open problems formulated.

Existence of traveling waves for the nonlocal Burgers equation
We study the equation ut + uux + u − K * u = 0 in the case of an arbitrary K ≥ 0, which is a generalization of a model for radiating gas, in which K(y) = 1 2 e −|y|. Using a monotone iteration scheme argument we establish the existence of traveling waves, which gives a solution to an open question raised by Denis Serre [1].

Traveling Waves in a Suspension Bridge System by Robert A. Ain, Jr. Dr. Zhonghai Ding, Examination Committee Chair Associate Professor of Mathematics University of Nevada, Las Vegas In this thesis, we study the traveling waves in a Lazer-McKenna suspension bridge system which is governed by two coupled nonlinear beam and wave equations. The Lazer-McKenna suspension bridge system describes the v...
متن کاملAnalysis on the critical speed of traveling waves
The note is concerned with a time-delayed reaction–diffusion equation with nonlocality for the population dynamics of single species. For the critical speed of traveling waves, we give a detailed analysis on its location and asymptotic behavior with respect to the parameters of the diffusion rate and mature age, respectively. c © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. متن کاملTraveling Waves and Shocks in a Viscoelastic Generalization of Burgers' Equation
We consider traveling wave phenomena for a viscoelastic generalization of Burgers’ equation. For asymptotically constant velocity profiles we find three classes of solutions corresponding to smooth traveling waves, piecewise smooth waves, and piecewise constant (shock) solutions. Each solution type is possible for a given pair of asymptotic limits, and we characterize the dynamics in terms of t...
